Description
The Musical Director is responsible for working with the Director in preparing a theatre production for public performance, including casting, and rehearsing the vocalists.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

Become familiar with the script and music to assist with auditions.
Evaluate voice abilities of the cast to offer casting suggestions.
Score music as needed.
Attend all rehearsals.
All other duties as assigned by the Director.
Supervisory Duties: None

Qualifications
College degree preferred.
Advanced skills in piano, music theory, transposition and composition and basic vocal techniques. Excellent sight reading/score reading ability and musicianship a must.
Enthusiasm for working closely with students and the community.
Strong writing and editing skills; good communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.

Sge Hill School is looking for an Independent Contractor to work on the spring musical Hadestown.  Show runs from April 23 – 26, 2025.

The stipend for this assignment will be $5,000.
