Position Title:                      Enrollment Management Associate

FLSA Classification:          Full-time – Exempt, 100% FTE, 12-month schedule of duties

Reports To:                         Enrollment Management Lead

 

Essential Functions:
●      Support all aspects of enrollment management from inquiry to admissions to student experience to alumni

●      To work as part of a highly collaborative team that strives to find and enroll mission appropriate students while also supporting retention current students

 

Responsibilities:
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

●      Awareness of own identity markers and how these cause bias

●      Engage a variety of community members in the enrollment management process so that there is not just “one view” or a “single story” about an applicant and their family

●      Based on a yearly admission needs assessment recruit a diverse mission appropriate student body for all three schools

 

Community Outreach
●      Support the development of and implementation of a robust community outreach program

●      Be the ultimate brand ambassador for each school

●      Expand all schools outreach beyond our current market

●      Maintain and strengthen relationship with feeder schools

●      Seek out mission appropriate students – ones that believe the same things our schools believe

●      Attend community events (admissions, parent association, advancement etc.)

●      Create new community events

●      Establish and maintain relationships with community partners

 

Communication, Documentation, and Tracking
●      Communicate in personalized ways often with all families especially throughout the admission’s process

●      Support and maintain an attrition watchlist including adding students to the list

●      Collaborate fully with colleagues to create communication consistent with the schools’ missions

●      Maintain up-to-date documentation regarding enrollment management process from prospect to applicant to student experience to alumni

●      Maintain and communicate accurate and honest admissions and retention data

●      Collaborate to develop a unified marketing message for each school and for all schools combined

●      Identify opportunities for connecting internally and externally

 

Customer Service/Care
●      School tours

●      Provide differentiated levels of support for families throughout their time at our schools

●      Develop and maintain a strong diverse student and parent ambassador pool

●      Support all of our students, faculty, and staff in understanding how to be the best ambassadors they can especially during campus visits

●      Support onboarding of new students – creating a bridge from admissions to being a student

●      Be a point person for applicants and their families

 

Other Responsibilities
●      Collaborate with enrollment management team and school community to conduct an admissions needs assessment (athletes, gender, grade levels etc.)

 

Required Qualifications:
●      College Degree

●      A clear enjoyment of working with all three schools’ community members and outstanding interpersonal skills

●      A self starter with a strong work ethic

●      Flexibility, sense of humor, and the ability to work as part of a team. We don’t expect everyone to have all the answers all the time, but we do look for a sense of confidence and good judgment, especially in the ability to ask a colleague for advice whenever needed

●      A clear commitment to the educational philosophy of the schools

●      Strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging

●      Strong interest in professional development opportunities

●      A love of innovation – a scrappy “start up” approach to work

 

Other Desirable qualifications:
●      Experience working in enrollment management in independent schools

●      Knowledge of or willingness to learn about students in all three schools

●      Knowledge of or willingness to learn about each school’s program

●      Understanding of differentiation around each schools mission and vision

●      Understanding of the Southbay area

●      Special education background with knowledge and experience interpretation reports

●      Knowledge of and/or experience with international students

●      Excellent follow through, organization, and time management

●      Strong communication skills (compassionate, good listener…)

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
●      Willingness and ability to work in a highly-demanding environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts

●      Ability and willingness to attend and work occasional overnight field trips

●      Ability to travel safely and comfortably across a campus

●      May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time

●      Be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs

●      Work primarily in a traditional, climate-controlled classroom environment and work intermittently in outside weather conditions consistent with San Pedro weather
