Advancement Officer
Notre Dame High School, a Catholic college preparatory school in the Holy Cross tradition, educates the hearts and minds of students who are diverse in talent, ethnicity, and society. Position Summary
The Advancement Officer is a full-time, classified, exempt role with an annual salary and benefits (including healthcare insurance and a retirement savings plan). The staff member will work directly with and report to the Director of Advancement.
The Advancement Team supports the Notre Dame High School community through the cultivation of relationships and resources. All team members will assist in the development and management of relationships with alumni, donors, community members, foundations, and other key supporters or constituents. We participate in strategic planning, articulation, and implementation of advancement initiatives as well as coordinating campaigns that enhance and promote overall fundraising for Notre
Dame High School. Confidentiality is imperative in this department. We are committed to teamwork, collaboration, and excellence.
An ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional planning, analytical, verbal, and written
communication skills, excellent attention to detail, a collaborative approach to their work, and an interest in working as part of a dynamic team. They will also have a passion for the mission, programs, and traditions of Notre Dame High School.
Advancement Officer Responsibilities
● Build relationships and cultivate the interests, involvement, and future support of
prospective donors and supporters.
● Responsible for the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of
major gifts.
● The ability to successfully close major gifts in a competitive, sophisticated donor
environment.
● Prospect planning, record keeping, fundraising goals tracking, and prospect management are
imperative in this position.
● Assists with the various Advancement appeals of the school.
● Assists with events that encourage alumni involvement.
● Assists with the coordination and implementation of all Advancement team events.
● Other duties, as needed and requested.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree.
● The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, preferably working in a school or similar
non-profit entity.
● Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge software is preferred.
● Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
● Excellent organizational and time management skills.
● Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
● Strong communication and writing skills.
● Ability to interact with various constituencies.
● Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
● Willingness to take initiative and work independently.
● Commitment to respecting and maintaining the confidentiality of donor information.
● Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends, as needed.

Salary:
The salary range for this position is $80,000-$120,000 depending on education and experience.
